Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 October 2026
How TutorBee handles family information, study materials, AI processing and privacy requests.
1. About this policy
This policy describes information handled through TutorBee’s website and learning app, including parent accounts, child profiles and contact enquiries. Contact the TutorBee team at shashigupta25@gmail.com or through Contact Us for privacy questions.
2. Information we collect
Account information includes a parent’s name, email address, phone number and authentication details. Child profiles can include names, age, grade, school, board, avatar and learning preferences. Please provide only information needed for the learning service.
Learning information includes uploaded documents and images, extracted study material, questions, AI conversations, worksheets, answers, evaluations, progress and usage records. If you use voice features, audio or transcribed text may also be processed.
We record referral codes, referral relationships, campaign eligibility and reward transactions to administer offers. Referrers see their rewards, not their friend’s private learning or payment details. We also handle contact-form names, phone numbers, email addresses and messages; support reports; plan and transaction references; device and browser information; and activity, diagnostic and performance data. Payment credentials are entered through the payment provider’s flow.
3. How information is used
We use information to authenticate accounts, manage family profiles, generate learning content, evaluate answers, show progress, administer plans and credits, support optional sharing, respond to enquiries, investigate reported errors, prevent abuse and understand service usage and performance. We use personal information for these stated purposes and as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law.
4. AI processing and service providers
TutorBee uses AI to generate explanations, revision material, worksheets, mock papers and evaluations. Relevant uploaded material, prompts, answers and learning context may be sent to AI providers, including OpenAI, to perform these tasks. Avoid uploading unnecessary personal or sensitive information about your child or anyone else.
Service providers include Supabase for authentication and data storage, OpenAI for AI features, Razorpay for payments, and Vercel for hosting, analytics and performance monitoring, along with configured infrastructure and communication services. Information relevant to their tasks may be processed on their systems, including systems outside your country.
Provider retention and AI-data handling depend on the service and configuration used. This policy does not promise zero provider retention or that every AI interaction is excluded from all provider processing. Contact us for details relevant to your data.
5. Children and parental choices
TutorBee is intended for learning through an account managed by an adult parent or guardian. Parents should supervise use, review profile information and decide what material is uploaded or shared. Where applicable law requires parental consent or verification, those requirements apply; creating an account alone is not a substitute for legally required verification.
A parent or guardian may contact us to request access to, correction of or deletion of their child’s information, or to withdraw consent where processing relies on it. We may verify identity and authority before acting. Withdrawing information needed for a feature may prevent its continued use.
8. Retention and security
Account and learning records are retained to provide saved learning history and account services. Enquiries, support records, transaction information and operational records may be retained for their support, accounting, security or legal purposes. Retention varies by record and provider; we do not promise immediate deletion from backups or records that must be retained by law.
We use access controls and other technical measures to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your password and Parent PIN private and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.
9. Privacy requests and complaints
To request access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent or help with a privacy complaint, email shashigupta25@gmail.com or use Contact Us. Describe the request and identify the account without sending passwords or payment credentials. We may ask for information needed to verify the request and will respond as required by applicable law.
Rights and available complaint routes depend on applicable law. This policy does not limit rights to contact a competent authority.
10. Policy updates
We may update this policy as the service or applicable requirements change. The updated date appears on this page. Where required, material changes will be communicated and any necessary consent requested.
